What is competent health and safety person?
Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 require every employer to appoint competent health and safety person(s) to assist them in meeting their legal obligations.
This advice may come from someone who is an employee of the company or an external health and safety advisor or consultant.
