Safescope is a registered private limited company (company number 06713581), based in Ipswich, UK. Safescope provides health and safety services to companies within the construction industry (designers, consultants and contractors) and clients of construction projects. Our services cover health and safety considerations on a construction project right from concept design stage to the preparation of building manuals on completion of site works.
We provide health and safety services and specialise in the construction industry. We help project clients, designers, consultants and contractors. Our approach is straightforward, practical and realistic. Our background is in construction; hence we understand the site requirements. Our aim is to make health and safety on construction projects simple and easy. The company started in 2008 and has grown successfully since. Our founding director, Dr. Khalid Bhutto (BEng MSc PhD CMIOSH FCIOB CFaPS), is regarded as an expert in CDM and construction safety. He has helped our valued clients in managing health and safety related claims, litigation, HSE notices and enforcement. We are a friendly bunch who will be happy to help you; please give us a call.
Safescope has now celebrated twelve birthdays. The company started its journey in October 2008 as a very small business. The business was founded by Dr. Khalid Bhutto (BEng, MSc PhD CMIOSH FCIOB CFaPS). Khalid's professional background is in civil engineering, construction, project management and integrated health and safety, quality and environmental management systems. Before establishing Safescope, Khalid worked as a company Director for one of the UK's major construction consulting engineering firms.
It is somewhat unusual for someone with Khalid's professional background as a civil engineer to move into health and safety. However, this move was a reflection of his observation and experience that the construction industry was being poorly served in the name of health and safety compliance. He found health and safety consultants from non-construction backgrounds imposing compliance regimes on construction companies (designers, consultants and contractors) and project clients based on generic principles and unnecessary complex bureaucracy, instead of understanding the unique nature of the construction industry. This experience lead to the idea of establishing Safescope for the provision of site specific construction health and safety services, with a proportionate, practical and supportive approach, and delivery by professionals with a good understanding of the construction industry.
In the beginning Safescope did provide a wide range of services in a number of business and industrial sectors in order to get established as a business; however in 2015 an important business decision was made to focus our services purely on construction industry. This was an important milestone in Safescope's progression as an established business.
Since then, Safescope has successfully developed and has gradually grown into a specialist provider of CDM 2015, Construction Health and Safety and Building Manuals Services.
