CDM PRINCIPAL CONTRACTOR TRAINING

Course Introduction

Under the CDM Regulations 2015, any construction project which involves more than one contractor requires a Principal Contractor appointment regardless of the size and duration of the Project.

This threshold has significant implications and several small contractors are now required to take on the Principal Contractor role. In Domestic Client situations, Principal Contractors are also required to fulfil the Client CDM Duties by default. Principal Contractor duties are quite significant and carry huge legal liabilities and responsibilities. It is very important for individual and organisations who fulfil the Principal Contractor role to understand the CDM requirements and have ability to make arrangements and take practical actions on their construction projects to meet those requirements. This training course is intended to assist current and potential Principal Contractors to understand and fulfil their duties under the CDM Regulations 2015.
