CDM TRAINING FOR DESIGNERS

Course Introduction

The Designers (Architects, Structural, Civil and Building Services Engineers, Landscape Architects etc) have specific legal duties under the CDM Regulations. Importantly, under the Regulations Clients are required to appoint Designers who have appropriate skills, knowledge and experience and (if applicable) organisational capability. Disappointingly there is not much understanding and guidance available in the industry for fulfilling the Designer CDM Duties in a manner that helps brining tangible value for construction projects by achieving safe construction sites and completed buildings or structures which are safe, easy and economical to maintain in the long run. This training heavily focusses on this positive aspect of the CDM Regulations. This training is intended for Designers to understand and fulfil their CDM Duties in a practical and effective manner.
