CDM 2015 AWARENESS TRAINING

Course Introduction

The current version of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM Regulations) is in force since April 2015. These Regulations have changed the structure and extent of the application in addition to significant changes in duty holders and their legal responsibilities.

The Client Duties have been extended heavily and the liability cannot be now legally transferred to any other party. New Principal Designer role has been introduced replacing the previous CDM Co-ordinator. F10 notification threshold has changed. Non notifiable projects under the previous CDM Regulations 2007 now have to comply with the CDM Regulations. Domestic client projects now also come under the requirements of CDM Regulations.

This training is intended for individuals and organisations who are related to construction industry or work on construction projects and become duty holders (i.e. Client, Designers, Principal Designer, Principal Contractor or Contractor) under the CDM Regulations or indeed anyone who needs to understand the CDM Regulations and its application on construction projects in the UK.

The training will make the attendees understand the CDM Regulations, different legal responsibilities and liabilities and effective application of the Regulations on construction projects. In addition, this training will also equip attendees in achieving a tangible value for their construction projects by achieving safe construction sites and completed buildings or structures which are safe, easy and economical to maintain in the long run.
