Management of various health and safety related documentation can be a headache. Organisations have to maintain a written health and safety policy, risk assessments and a number of other health and safety related pieces documentation including policies, COSHH assessments, procedures and related forms, fire risk assessments, PAT testing records, fire alarm testing records, fire drill records, the list is huge.

Finding the required health and safety related document or record when urgently needed can be a huge problem and time wasting exercise if not properly managed. This can be quite a costly situation especially in a prosecution or claim situation, when being audited by a third party or in case of a visit by HSE. This can also be nightmare when trying to update the obsolete documentation.
